Cercei/Earrings

My first bag...

This is my first handmade bag. Last Easter i made myself a very useful gift: a Singer sewing machine. After gathering some supplies for this other hobby of mine, I started to sew this bag, without any patterns, and no skills!! :)
It's made out of 100% Cotton, it has a small pocket inside and closes with a snap.
Friday, at my photo shooting, i finally managed to bring my bag and my photographer took some shots with it!

These are my first creations made out of polymer clay and sterling silver wire. At the moment, I couldn't find the supplies needed for creating my own "jeweleries". In the summer of 2008, i went to Barcelona, and there, in El Corte Ingles, a 5 level shop, i first found the hoops, wire, tools and everything i needed for making my own earrings! :) I spent 50 euros there on supplies, and there weren't to many!!!

The maket for crafters in Romania was not solid at the time, nor is it now. But theese days you can surely find the stuff you need in online stores, or you can order them from USA.

O papusa pentru Unicef, prin intermediul Concurs Inspired 2009

Am decis sa particip la “Creeaza o papusa - ajuta un copil!” un proiect INSPIRED si UNICEF Romania. Toate detaliile pot fi gasite aici:

"Va invitam sa fiti alaturi de noi si sa creati o papusa. Ne bazam pe creativitatea voastra! Oricine se poate implica, initiativa vizeaza deopotriva copii, tineri si adulti.
Papusile vor fi trimise pe adresa organizatorului INSPIRED, Modern Media Group, sau pe adresa UNICEF, si vor fi licitate in 2010 de catre UNICEF, in cadrul unui eveniment ce va fi anuntat in prealabil tuturor creatorilor de papusi.
Fondurile ce urmeaza sa fie colectate in urma licitatiei vor sprijini proiecte in beneficiul copiilor defavorizati din Romania."

Proiectul “Creeaza o papusa, ajuta un copil” a demarat in anul 1988 in Cinisello Balsamo, un orăşel din nordul Italiei. In Romania, proiectul a fost lansat in 2006, licitatia de papusi bucurandu-se de mare succes. In 2008, proiectul a continuat, iar UNICEF a primit peste 1.000 de papusi create de copii şi de designeri români sau din străinătate.
